Dave Reed is a strong conservative who is committed to protecting our constitution and fighting for our working families and taxpayers. After being elected as the youngest member to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2002, Reed has been passionate about issues facing our country, expanding economic opportunity, and combating poverty across Pennsylvania.
Over the past three years, Reed was chosen by his peers twice to serve as Majority Leader. Reed has stood up to tax increase proposals of Governor Wolf, reformed our pension system, fought for property tax elimination and focused on policies to ensure that our educational system is preparing our children for the challenges the future will bring.
Reed will work with President Trump to return more power to the states on issues like education, welfare reform, and anti-poverty efforts. He believes a strong national defense, pro-growth economic policies, a balanced budget, and a secure border are the foundation to passing a strong America onto our children and grandchildren.
Dave Reed has always fought for taxpayers who pay the bills and has been a voice for the working families throughout Pennsylvania. He has been consistently ranked as one of the top legislators fighting to protect our second amendment rights by the NRA and has been endorsed by the state's leading pro-life organizations for his dedication to protecting our unborn children.
Reed's humble beginnings growing up in Homer City, PA to the outstanding education he received at one of our many small schools across the region, Homer-Center High School, are the roots of his deep desire to serve our communities in western and central Pennsylvania.
